Lamentations 2:5-7

⁵ The Lord has become like an ^(A)enemy.
He has ^(B)swallowed up Israel;
He has swallowed up all its ^(C)palaces;
He has brought its strongholds to ruin
And ^(D)multiplied in the daughter of Judah
Mourning and moaning.

⁶ And He has violently treated His ^[a]tabernacle like a garden booth;
He has ^(E)brought His appointed ^[b]meeting place to ruin.
Yahweh has ^(F)caused to be forgotten
The appointed time and sabbath in Zion,
And He has ^(G)spurned king and priest
In the indignation of His anger.

⁷ The Lord has ^(H)rejected His altar;
He has abandoned His sanctuary;
He ^(I)has delivered into the hand of the enemy
The walls of her palaces.
They have made a ^(J)noise in the house of Yahweh
As in the day of an appointed time.
